Domtar unveils "Paper Because" campaign to promote the responsible use of paper

Domtar Corporation (NYSE/TSX: UFS) is launching its “Paper Because” campaign through advertisements that will appear in major U.S. and Canadian media outlets, including: The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Globe & Mail, Fast Company, Audubon, National Geographic and other consumer and trade publications. The campaign will also feature online banner ads and a series of short videos that will appear in a variety of online media.

Domtar expands licensing agreement with World Wildlife Fund

To promote ongoing forest conservation and environmentally responsible paper products, Domtar Corporation (NYSE/TSX: UFS) announced today that it has expanded a licensing agreement with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to now cover all of Domtar’s EarthChoice® products, including office paper. The sale of all papers from EarthChoice, Domtar’s family of socially and environmentally responsible paper products, will now support WWF’s mission.

Domtar and FPInnovations join forces to develop innovative fiber-based nanotechnologies at new demonstration plant

Domtar Corporation and FPInnovations announced that they have formed a new joint venture company to build the world’s first one metric ton per day commercial-scale nanocrystalline cellulose demonstration plant at the Domtar Windsor, Quebec pulp and paper mill site. Construction will begin in the coming weeks and will take approximately 20 months to be completed.

WWF measures environmental footprint of world's largest fine paper companies

WWF has launched a new voluntary rating tool for paper companies to report on their global ecological footprint. The Paper Company Environmental Index assesses key environmental criteria, such as use of recycled fibre or fibre coming from well-managed forests, energy use and CO2 emissions, water consumption and water pollution.
